Hard to believe that this is one of the outcomes of a thesis! It's just perfect, and demonstrates the high level of Noah Fishman's proficiency as a composer and arranger. He put much work into this string quartet, traveling Sweden and learning all about Swedish traditional folk dance music, which this work is based on. Favorite track: IV. Deconstruction - Fugue.

Lyssna is a string quartet in five movements. What began as an independent research project at Princeton University (2015-16) became a multifaceted work exploring Swedish music through composition, performance, and travelogue. In Swedish, 'lyssna' simply means ‘to listen.’
